Biographical Information[edit]
Shortstop Tom McMillan played seven years in the minors and came to the big leagues for two games with the Seattle Mariners in 1977, in the first year of their existence. He won Silver with Team USA in the 1972 Amateur World Series. He had been a second-round pick in the 1973 Amateur Draft and appeared in the minor league systems of six different organizations, spending the most time in the Cleveland Indians organization before being selected by the M's in the expansion draft.
In 1989, Tommy McMillan played for the Winter Haven Super Sox of the Senior Professional Baseball Association. He hit .220 in 63 games with the club.
He is not to be confused with an earlier player, Tommy McMillan, who was also a shortstop.
