Biographical Information[edit]
The father of big league player and manager John Farrell, pitcher Tom Farrell played three seasons in the Cleveland Indians organization. His best season was 1954, when he went 9-12 with a 2.90 ERA in 28 games for the Sherbrooke Indians.
Following his baseball days, Farrell was a bricklayer for 40 years. He died in 2003 at age 68.
In addition to his son, Farrell's grandson Luke Farrell made the majors and grandson Jeremy Farrell played minor league ball. Another grandson, Shane Farrell, is a scout.
