Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Shane Farrell was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 46th round of the 2011 amateur draft. Farrell had gone 5-1 in high school, 1-1 with a 4.12 ERA as a college freshman and 1-7 with a 3.88 ERA as a sophomore. He started 2010 1-1 with a 6.56 ERA before injury cut his season short. In 2011, he was 2-1 with a 4.76 ERA. He never played professionally but later became a Chicago Cubs scouting assistant, and scouting director for the Blue Jays.

He is the son of John Farrell, grandson of Tom Farrell and brother of Luke Farrell and Jeremy Farrell.
