Biographical Information[edit]
Terry McDaniel was drafted in the 6th round of the January 1986 amateur draft by the New York Mets. He showed good speed in the minor leagues, and despite several injuries, he eventually reached the major leagues with the Mets in August 1991. Injuries continued to hamper him, however, and 1991 was his only major-league season.
McDaniel began the 1994 season with the Marshall Mallards club of the new independent North Central League. He was the only player on the Marshall roster with previous major league experience; others in this league included former major leaguer Juan Berenguer, future major leaguer Kerry Ligtenberg, as well as manager Greg Olson, all of whom belonged to the Minneapolis Loons.
The Mallards franchise did not finish the season in Marshall, and it is believed McDaniel did not finish the season either due to injury.
