November 29: Today's featured birthday is that of Joe Price, who turns 68.
- 1911 - A time-saving rule by Ban Johnson that bans warm-up pitches becomes the subject of A dispute when Stuffy McInnis homers while Ed Karger is trying to warm up and his teammates are still taking the field. The homer stands up under protest, but the rule will be removed.
- 1930 - Nine days before his 47th birthday, pitcher Jack Quinn (pictured) hits a home run, the oldest player to do so in the majors until Julio Franco 76 years later.
- 1950 - Marlin Stuart of the Toledo Mud Hens throws the second perfect game in the history of the American Association.
- 1977 - Willie McCovey hits two home runs in one inning for the second time in his career, the first player in major league history to do so.
- 1986 - Bo Diaz throws out Robby Thompson four times on stolen base attempts. It is the first recorded instance of a player being gunned down four times in a game.
