Biographical Information[edit]

Tavo Sorovakatini was the starting third baseman and #3 batter for the Fijian national team in the 2011 Pacific Games. He hit .353/.450/.471 with four RBI in six games, fielding .800. In the 5th/6th place game, he was 3 for 5 with a triple, run and two RBI; in the bottom of the 8th, his single off Pemerika Mahuka drove in Inoke Niubalavu with the winner. He led Fiji in average (.084 ahead of Rupeni Batai), OBP (.097 of Batai), slugging (.138 ahead of Batai) and hits (6, two ahead of Batai and Emosi Gotegote). For the Games overall, he was 9th in average, 8th in slugging (between Mahuka and Daniel Va'a), OBP (6th, between Brieuc Mallet and Va'a) and errors (4, tied for 5th with Jesus Iguel and Sébastien Lepouriel).
