Rupeni Batai

From BR Bullpen

Biographical Information[edit]

Rupeni Batai was the starting center fielder for the Fijian national team in the 2011 Pacific Games. He singled off Daniel Va'a of American Samoa in his first at-bat. He finished at .267/.353/.333 with a double, one run, three RBI and two steals in two tries while handling four putouts with no errors. He also closed out their loss to Palau, relieving Sanail Colainima and working one inning (4 H, 2 BB, 3 R, 3 ER). [1] Statistics are incomplete for Fiji in the 2022 Pacific Mini-Games; he was a backup by that point, going 0 for 3 in games for which data is available. [2]
