Talk:Major League Players Who Played in the 1950s
I agree with the (deleted) comment that this category isn't necessary. What's next, "Players who played on July 3, 1932"? -Chisoxfan 01:07, 2 May 2010 (EDT)
Are we doing a page like this for all decades from the 1870s to the 2010s? Kinston eagle 10:05, 8 May 2010 (EDT)
You could at least link to the player pages and not to the disambiguation pages (re Bob Miller, Bob Smith etc). --Philippe 10:13, 8 May 2010 (EDT)
Seems we have two dueling versions of this page. Perhaps we could vote on which we prefer and stick with the one that gets the most support? Seems kind of silly to keep reverting this page back and forth. -Chisoxfan 22:33, 4 January 2011 (EST)
Why not just make this a category? -User:Umbreon9talk 00:57, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
To avoid category inflation? - Mischa (talk) 09:40, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
Note that this was a pet project of a former user who actually wrote bios for a large number of the the players mentioned on the page. It's not something we wish to repeat for other decades, but the information on the page is now correct and complete, so it remains. Philippe (talk) 14:11, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
Yeah, this page was done pretty well, and it can't really go out of date. Creating a category on the other hand, would necessitate creating categories for all the other decades, and those would need to be maintained and updated every time we entered a new decade. A new category is a bad idea imo. Jeff (talk) 16:15, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
Should I use Stathead to create pages for the other decades, not including the 2020's, since that would need to be updated every few games? I need some project; my Manager Wins system is boring me. Umbreon9talk/contribs 18:12, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
I'd say go ahead! - Mischa (talk) 18:23, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
