Talk:Joe Knight
Saying Hamilton is a town 100 miles east of Port Stanley is like saying Washington DC is a town 100 miles east of Cumberland, MD. Philippe (talk) 12:48, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
Are you suggesting, Philippe, that Americans don't know anything about Canada? How dare you! Of course, most of us don't, but still, how dare you! :) --Cmcgill (talk) 12:58, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
My point was that Joe played close to home. One team was 25 miles from his home, and the other was 100 miles from home. If a player was born in Cumberland, MD, and played in Washington, DC, then it would be valid to tell people that Washington was 100 miles east of his home town of Cumberland. I get your point, which is why I changed the location to "southern Ontario", giving a sense that he stayed within a small geographic area. I just found it funny that you would identify one of the ten largest cities in Canada in relation to a small town no one has heard of. Philippe (talk) 21:10, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
