From BR Bullpen

I became a baseball fan in 1960, rooting for the Dodgers, then for the Cubs, then for the White Sox, and now for nobody in particular. I am just as interested in old-time baseball as in modern baseball. I am particularly interested in sabermetrics.

In terms of my non-baseball life, I have worked for the federal government, for local government, been an insurance executive, a lawyer, a database expert, a writer, and a few other things.

Here at the BR Bullpen, I've written over a thousand articles. I don't have a particular focus. Rather, I tend to randomly browse and write about players who enthuse me. I'm happy writing about players who had only a few games in the majors if I can find anything about them.

What I like are the life stories. For most ballplayers, their days in the major leagues are only a small part of their lives.
