That's only for people who played baseball in the Olympics. So Jim Thorpe counts only because he appeared in a baseball game at the 1912 Olympics but Jack McCartan does not since he only played hockey in 1960. - --Mischa (talk) 09:45, 30 November 2015 (EST)

I know that Clara Hughes [1] won Olympic medals for Canada in both cycling and speed skating, so I'm raising questions about the statement only three athletes have done so, and none who were not competing in bobsled. Perhaps that total is limited to male athletes or to U.S. athletes? That said, it's a tremendous achievement on his part and congratulations on being named flag-bearer.
