Biographical Information[edit]

Takuya Yasaki has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Yasaki represented Japan in the 2014 Haarlemse Honkbalweek and 2016 Haarlem Baseball Week. He completed a no-hitter against Tokyo University on September 17, 2016, and he won 2 ERA titles in the Tokyo Big Six University League. The Hiroshima Carp selected him in the first round of the 2016 NPB draft, and he debuted against the Yakult Swallows on April 8, 2017. He brought a no-hitter into the 9th inning, but Yuhei Takai hit a single and broke it. Yasaki ended up 1-3 with a 4.30 ERA in his rookie year, but he only pitched 15 games combined in his next four seasons.

The Tokyo native broke out in 2022, and he notched 17 holds and a save with a 1.82 ERA in 47 appearances. He then collected 24 saves and 10 holds in 2022, and he was 4th in the Central League in saves (between with Raidel Martinez and Yasuaki Yamasaki) and 10th in appearances (8 behind Sotaro Shimauchi). Yasuki's ERA was 3.60 with 10 holds in 26 games in 2024, then the Swallows picked him in the 2024 NPB Active draft.
