Takumi Takahashi has pitched for the Japanese national team.
Takahashi debuted for Japan in the 2018 Asian Games. He relieved Isamu Usui in the 4th inning against China, allowed 3 hits, walked one and surrendered 2 runs. He then relieved Makoto Hori against Thailand, pitched a shutout inning and picked up the win. In the semifinals, Takahashi relieved Yudai Aranishi in the 7th inning against South Korea, and pitched 2 innings without allowing any hits. He also appeared in the Gold Medal Game, walked one and fanned one in a inning. Japan was beaten by South Korea in the final, 3-0.
