He was part of a historic note on June 14, 2009. He entered after Orix pitchers had allowed hits to nine straight Yakult Swallows in an interleague game. Coming in relief, he walked Norichika Aoki then gave up an Aaron Guiel grand slam. PH Yasushi Iihara doubled for the 11th hit in 11 at-bats, a new NPB record. Kamoshida ended the run by retiring Shinya Miyamoto.
alks Aoki, then gives up a grand slam to Guiel. Yasushi Iihara pinch-hits for Matsumoto and doubles to run the streak to 11 before Kamoshida retires Miyamoto.
Kamoshida was timed at a peak of 94 mph, but that was back in college. After 41 NPB games, he was 0-4 with a 7.80 ERA, 64 hits and 32 walks in 45 innings.
