Biographical Information[edit]

Steve Mufareh was 3-0 with a 2.10 ERA as a high school junior and 6-3 with a 3.30 ERA and 72 K in 53 IP as a senior. [1] He had a 4-5, 7.04 record as a college freshman. He then pitched for the Palestine American team in the 2023 Asian Championship. He was their starter in their opener and beat Lai-Him Lam and Hong Kong, allowing five hits and one unearned run in seven innings while fanning four; former minor leaguer Brent Powers closed out the win. He also got their other win, going six shutout (5 H, 0 BB, 7 K) before Powers closed out a win over Thailand and Phanuwat Sukmuang. He tied Sho Akiyama and Mizuki Kato for the event lead in victories, led in ERA (Jo-Hsi Hsu was also at 0.00, in one fewer inning) and tied Kato for 4th in Ks. He easily led his team in ERA as Ibrahim Shalabi was next at 4.76 and no one else was under 7.5 [2]
