Biographical Information

Steve Stanicek, a first round pick in the 1982 amateur draft out of the University of Nebraska, came to the majors for a couple of cups of coffee in 1987 with the Milwaukee Brewers and 1989 with the Philadelphia Phillies. His younger brother Pete Stanicek was also up for a couple of seasons around the same time.
