Biographical Information[edit]
Steve Peterson was a long-time college coach.
Peterson was a catcher at Jacksonville State. He was assistant at Middle Tennessee State University from 1976-1978, then was head coach of Roane State Community College from 1979-1984 (going 153-96 and twice winning TJCAA Coach of the Year). He returned to Middle Tennessee as assistant again from 1985-1987 then was their head coach from 1988-2012. He set school record for wins in a season (44-18 in 2009) and career (944-733-3). He coached Jayhawk Owens, Jason Maxwell, Dewon Brazelton and Brett Carroll.
