The 2001 Sun Belt Conference baseball tournament was held May 16 - 19 in Lafayette, LA. #2 University of South Alabama defeated #1 Middle Tennessee State University for the title. Outfielder Ryan Mulhern of South Alabama was named tournament MVP.
