Biographical Information[edit]
Shui-Chuan Fang was a player and coach in Taiwan.
Fang was on the first two editions of the Taiwanese national team, in the 1954 Asian Championship (the first Asian Championship) and the 1955 Asian Championship, when the pitcher helped them take home the Silver Medal. He managed Taiwan in the 1962 Asian Championship, when they won Bronze and coached for them in the 1963 Asian Championship (Bronze), 1965 Asian Championship (Bronze) and 1969 Asian Championship (Silver). From 1969-1998, he coached at a school, developing numerous talents and was very active in coaching Little League.
He coached for Taiwan when they won the 1983 World Junior Championship and managed them in the 1984 World Junior Championship (Bronze), 1991 World Junior Championship (Silver) and 1995 World Junior Championship. He was inducted into the Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame as part of their third class in 2016.
