Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Sherman Johnson was named to the 2012 College World Series All-Tournament Team. He was drafted in the 14th round of the 2012 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He made his major league debut with the Angels at the end of the 2018 season. Johnson returned to the minor leagues in 2019 with the Cincinnati Reds and in 2021 with the Minnesota Twins. He completed his playing career in 2022 with the Kane County Cougars of the independent American Association.
The Baltimore Orioles hired Johnson to serve as the Bowie Baysox hitting coach in 2023. The next year he worked as the Orioles' Minor League Upper-Level Hitting Coordinator.
