Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Seth Simmons has played in the Arizona Diamondbacks minor league system since 2011 (through 2014). He was drafted by the club in the 40th round of the 2011 amateur draft.

In his first professional season, Simmons struck out 61 batters in 35 2/3 innings, while posting a 4.04 ERA in 26 appearances for the Missoula Osprey. In 2012, he had a 2.54 mark with 98 strikeouts in 78 innings for the South Bend Silver Hawks and Visalia Rawhide and in 2013, he was 6-2 with a 2.44 ERA in 55 games for the Rawhide. He struck out 106 batters in 73 2/3 innings. He began 2014 with Visalia and was promoted to the Double-A Mobile BayBears in mid-May.

He represented the United States in the 2015 WBSC Premier 12.
