Biographical Information[edit]
Se-jin Park has pitched in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korean national team; his brother Se-woong Park has played in the KBO as well.
Park was a first-round pick of the kt Wiz in the 2016 KBO draft. He was 0-1 with a 5.14 ERA in 7 games for the big club in 2016 and 0-2 with a 9.53 ERA in four games in 2017. In the 2017 Asian Championship, he appeared for South Korea twice. He started against the Philippines and got a no-decision in a win for his team (3 2/3 IP, 3 H, BB, 3 R, 1 ER, 7 K); Min-ho Park took over in the 4th with a solid lead. Se-jin faced the Philippines again in the Bronze Medal Game; that time, he relieved Chan-ho Kim in the 8th with a 15-0 lead and worked one shutout frame (0 H, 0 BB, 1 K) before Geon-wook Lee closed out the win.
Park got his first KBO win early in 2018.
