Biographical Information[edit]
Scott Melvin was a minor league infielder from 1985-1991, hitting between .255 and .292 each season after a .351 debut. He hit 18 career home runs. Melvin spent his final three seasons at AA. He was a coach for the Arkansas Travelers in 1991, Hamilton Redbirds in 1992 and Springfield Cardinals in 1993, and later became a manager and a scout, signing Buddy Baumann, Aaron Crow, Luke Gregerson, Josh Kinney, Kyle McClellan, Jimmy Journell and Daniel Tillo.
