Biographical Information[edit]
Scott Barnsby has been a minor league pitcher and a scout.
Barnsby was 5-2 with a 3.02 ERA as a college freshman, with 27 walks in 47 2/3 IP. He had a 4-0, 3.60 record in 1996. In 1997, he was 6-1 with a 4.66 ERA; on April 22, he no-hit Northeastern University at Fenway Park. He finished with a 2-2, 4.70 senior season. The Los Angeles Dodgers chose him in the 25th round of the 1998 amateur draft.
Barnsby was 2-4 with a save and a 5.01 ERA in 26 games for the 1998 Yakima Bears. He tied Robbie Morrison for 8th in the Northwest League in pitching appearances. in '99, he was with the Vero Beach Dodgers (12 H, 10 R, 7 ER in 7 2/3 IP) and Waterbury Spirit (8 R, 8 BB in 5 1/3 IP). He later was a Cleveland Indians scout, signing Jerad Head, Stephen Head, Jensen Lewis, Carlton Smith and Jeremy Sowers.
