Biographical Information[edit]

Scot Drucker spent two full seasons in AAA.

Amateur[edit]

Drucker saved five games as a high school freshman. As a sophomore, he had a 5-3, 2.40 record followed by 6-3, 2.29 with 127 K as a junior. His senior year, he transferred from Miami Country Day to Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale and went 8-2 with a save, 1.34 ERA and 92 K in 64 innings. Going on to Florida, he struggled in both 2001 (2-0, 6.41) and 2002 (1-0, 6.06). He transferred to Tennessee and sat out a year. In the summer of 2003, he was 2-3 with 4 saves and a 4.66 ERA for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. His last year at Tennessee, he was 8-3 with 5 saves and a 2.61 ERA, finishing 5th in the Southeastern Conference in saves.

A's chain[edit]

The Oakland Athletics took Drucker in the 13th round of the 2004 amateur draft. He made his pro debut with the Vancouver Canadians, going 2-1 with 6 saves and a 3.00 ERA. He tied Aaron Trolia for 4th in the Northwest League in saves. In 2005, he was with the Kane County Cougars (2-3, 111 Sv, 2.86) and Stockton Ports (7-1, Sv, 5.51). Returning to Stockton in 2006, he was 9-6 with two saves and a 4.78 ERA, walking 29 in 113 innings. He missed 2007 with tendonitis then was released by Oakland the next spring.

Independent leagues and Detroit[edit]

Drucker moved to the independent leagues, going 8-3 with a 2.41 ERA for the 2008 Grand Prairie AirHogs. He finished second to Nick Singleton in the American Association in ERA. He signed with the Detroit Tigers in late July. Sent to the Erie SeaWolves, he allowed 5 runs in 12 innings for the remainder of the year. He was with the Toledo Mud Hens for all of 2009, posting a 8-3, 4.78 record. He was second on the AAA team in wins, behind Ruddy Lugo.

The right-hander split the off-season between the Arizona Fall League (1-1, 7.00) and the Ponce Lions of the Puerto Rican League (0-1, 11.74). Back with Toledo in 2010, he fell to 4-5, 5.61 with a save and a .310 opponent average. In winter ball, he appeared for the Licey Tigers (1 1/3 IP, 0 R) and Mexicali Eagles (1-1, 7.50).

Taiwan, Grand Prairie[edit]

Let go by the Tigers, he signed with the Lamigo Monkeys of Taiwan for 2011. He was 2-3 with a 3.36 ERA in 11 games before being released in August. Signed back by Grand Prairie, he finished the year 0-1 with a 2.08 ERA in two starts for them. In the winter, he completed his run of the four major winter leagues, appearing for the Tigres de Aragua in the Venezuelan League. He was 2-5 with a 5.36 ERA and 35 walks in 48 2/3 innings.
