From BR Bullpen

Sarah Langs (born in 1993) is a journalist for Mlb.com specializing in analytics. She is a graduate from the University of Chicago, where she was the senior sports editor of the school's newspaper, The Chicago Maroon. She later worked for ESPN before being hired by MLB.

While better known as a sportswriter, she was also part of a historic broadcast team on July 20, 2021, when she was part of an all-women crew broadcasting a game between the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays on YouTube. She joined play-by-play announcer Melanie Newman as the analyst on the broadcast, with Alanna Rizzo serving as the on-field reporter, and Heidi Watney and Lauren Gardner as the hosts of the pre-game and post-game shows. This was the first time a major league game was broadcast by a team consisting solely of women.

In October 2022, it was revealed that she was suffering from ALS, othewise known as "Lou Gehrig Disease". Colleagues were already aware of her condition, and she planned to continue working for the time being.

Her catchphrase is "Baseball is the best!" In 2024, she was named a recipient of the Henry Chadwick Award for her contribution to baseball research.
