Biographical Information[edit]
Samantha Cobb has been a member of the USA women's national team.
Cobb hit .336/.395/.566 with 195 RBI in 228 games in softball in college; she was three times an All-Conference USA selection. She debuted for the US in baseball in the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup, going 2 for 8 with a double and a walk as the backup SS to Natalie Land as the US won the Silver Medal. She was one of three Tulsa players on the team, alongside Jill Barrett and Caitlin Everett. In the 2014 Women's Baseball World Cup, he started in LF and played some CF and RF for the US, hitting .308/.417/.300 with two putouts and two assists for the Silver Medalists. She pitched one game, blanking Gold Medal-winning Japan for 1 1/3 IP.
The Texan started in left for the US in the 2015 Pan American Games and played some right when usual RF Sarah Hudek pitched. She hit .429/.500/.500 with six runs and four RBI in five games as the US won the Gold Medal. She had 8 putouts. In the Gold Medal game, she scored three runs in a win over Canada. She tied Michelle Snyder for 6th in the event in average, tied Jenna Marston and Nicole Luchanski for third in runs, tied for first in steals (two) and tied for 7th in RBI. She was a 2B/LF in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, going 3 for 10 with a double, walk and run, stealing two bases in 3 tries and fielding .917 as the US finished out of contention.
