Biographical Information[edit]
Sam Post got his shot at the majors in 1922 with the Brooklyn Robins. Sam apparently competed early in the season with first baseman Ray Schmandt, who ended up winning the job although it was his last season in the big leagues. In 1923, Jack Fournier took over first base.
He played in the minors for a decade in the Northeast and in 1930 managed at Salem.
Post later enjoyed a long career as a doctor.
