Biographical Information

Ryota Kudo has pitched for the Japanese national team.

Kudo played for Toyota in the industrial leagues after college. He pitched for Japan in the 2023 Asian Championship. Kudo's only appearance in the event was against Pakistan and he struck out 1 in a shutout inning. Relieving Mizuki Kato in the 6th with a 14-0 lead and a no-hitter ongoing, he allowed a single to Raees Bashir, struck out Jibran Murtaza and then Zakir Zakir singled. Hussain Hussain hit into a double play to end the rally and Raiku Katayama replaced Kudo in the 7th. Japan won Gold in the event.
