Komazawa University Tomakomai High School
Komazawa University Tomakomai High School located in Tomakomai, Hokkaido. It was the first high school in the Hokkaido/Tohoku area to win the Summer Koshien tournament, doing so in 2004. They then proceeded to win back-to-back championships being only the 6th school ever to do so. Their run at back-to-back-to-back championships ended in dramatic fashion in 2006 when ace Yuuki Saitou and Waseda Jitsugyo High School pitched the games of the ages with a 15 inning, 1-1 tie the first day, and Waseda holding on 4-3 the next day. In that third attempt, Masahiro Tanaka was trying to be one of the few players to be on a 3-time champion team.
