Biographical Information[edit]
Ryan Shealy was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 5th round of the 1998 amateur draft, but he elected to go on to college. He was then drafted by the Rockies again, this time in the 11th round of the 2002 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Mike Day and made his pro debut that summer.
Shealy was traded by the Rockies with Scott Dohmann to the Kansas City Royals for Jeremy Affeldt and Denny Bautista on July 31, 2006.
