Biographical Information[edit]
Run-Po Chen was a shortstop for the Taiwanese national team in their first event, the 1954 Asian Championship. He played also in the 1955 Asian Championship (Silver), 1959 Asian Championship (Bronze), 1962 Asian Championship (Bronze) and 1963 Asian Championship (Bronze). In a 1994 poll, he was named the top shortstop in Taiwanese annals. He coached for the Chinese Culture University. In 2017, he was inducted into the Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame in their 4th class.
