Rodolfo Cardona reached AA.

Cardona debuted in 2004 with Venoco 2. In 2005, he hit .229/.341/.275 as a middle infielder for the VSL Orioles. With the 2006 VSL Orioles/White Sox, he batted .206/.286/.365. In 2007, he put up a .283/.343/.434 line for the GCL Orioles, with 30 RBI in 40 games, tying for second on his club in RBI. In 2008, he moved up to the Bluefield Orioles and the middle infielder continued to hit respectably, at .283/.372/.398 with 28 RBI and 25 runs in 49 games. He made his Venezuelan League debut, going 0 for 3 for the Cardenales de Lara. Rodolfo split 2009 between the Delmarva Shorebirds (.235/.301/.364 in 46 G), Frederick Keys (10 for 42, 2B, 3B, BB, 16 K) and Bowie Baysox (0 for 14, BB). In the winter of 2009-2010, he played one game for Lara but did not bat. He was 10 for 40 with 2 doubles, a homer and 7 walks for the 2010 Bradenton Marauders in the Pittsburgh Pirates chain (the team had claimed him in the 2009 Rule V Draft). In 2010-2011, he again played one game for the Cardenales and did not bat.

Cardona played for the Venezuelan national team in 2011. In the 2011 Baseball World Cup, the 24-year-old hit .308/.372/.590 with 5 doubles, 2 home runs and 8 runs in 11 games as Venezuela's starting shortstop, while making only one error. Only Willie Vasquez showed more pop for Venezuela. He scored the winning run in the 10th inning against Italy and took Todd Redmond deep in a loss to Team USA. In the 7th/8th place game, he was 1 for 4 with a walk, double, two runs and an error in a win over host Panama. In the 2011 Pan American Games, he made 3 errors in 4 games but was 7 for 17 with a walk, triple and steal, second to Yonathan Sivira as a Venezuelan offensive producer. In the 5th/6th place game, he went 5 for 6 in a 14-13 loss to the Dominican national team.

Rodolfo was 4 for 12 with two runs and a RBI in the 2013 Bolivarian Games (Venezuela got a Silver Medal) and 3 for 12 with a walk, double, home run and error as a middle infielder for Venezuela in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games.
