La Sabana, Vargas
La Sabana is a small fishing town on Venezuela's northern Caribbean Sea coast, located 10 miles west of Guayabal, Las Tunas but not near any major cities. In spite of having a population of around 3,000, the town and other neighboring villages have developed a large number of professional baseball players, most of whom are related to one another. In addition to the players named here, Ronald Acuna Jr. played at the baseball academy set up here by Kelvim Escobar, to whom he is related.
