Roberto Lugo has been on the Chilean national team.
He debuted for Chile in the 2024 South American Championship, serving as their main second baseman. He was retired by Keiver Cordero of Ecuador his first time up. His first hit came against Peru's Jorge Loyola. He finished 3-for-13 with two walks, two runs and a RBI in six games and handled 13 chances error-free, leading the event's second basemen in fielding.
