Biographical Information[edit]

Robert Ogg followed his brother Alexander Ogg onto the Hungarian national team. [1]

Robert pitched once for Hungary in the 2021 European Championship Qualifier. Relieving Sean Fekete in the 7th with a 3-0 deficit against champion Slovakia, he retired all six batters (Jakub Ižold, Michal Noga, Martin Brunegraf, Tomáš Biskorovajný, Mário Gottschall and Alexander Václavík). [2] Hungary later made it to the 2023 European Championship, their first European Championship. The teenaged right-hander allowed four hits, four walks and seven runs (five earned) in three innings, losing to Oskar Syrén and Sweden. He struck out one, Victor Wahlberg. László Győri took over for him. His other outing, he was Hungary's top hurler in a 19-14 slugfest loss to Greece. Relieving Benedek Laffer, he worked the final 3 1/3 innings, allowing five hits, three walks and four unearned runs. He tied Dimitri Lettas, Hideori Oshima and Dimitri Kourtis for 8th in the tourney in runs allowed and tied for 7th in walks (with Kourtis, Jonah Schaller, Marcel Giraud and Per Sjörs). [3]
