Richmond Dogbe was on the Ghanaian national team in the 1999 All Africa Games. He split second base with Victor Bentum, going 2 for 8 with four steals and two errors. He tied Jimmy Davies for second on the team in steals, one behind Noah Sabah Kpeli. He also pitched one game, relieving Mohammed Sherrif in the 3rd with a 15-3 deficit against host South Africa. He allowed six hits, two walks and six runs (all earned) in one inning before Henry Agyepong relieved. He wound up with the team's highest ERA, having pitched his lone game against the tourney's toughest team.
