Biographical Information[edit]
Jimmy Davies was the first batter for the Ghanaian national team in an international tournament, leading off for them in the 1999 All Africa Games and manning center field. He hit .400 for the event with a .500 slugging percentage, 4 steals and 6 RBI in five games. He was second on the team with 8 hits (6 behind Paul Manoma) and tied for second in steals (one behind Noah Sabah Kpeli). He was one of three Ghanaian players who had the opportunity to train with Japan's Fukuoka Daiei Hawks, along with Manoma.
