Biographical Information[edit]

Red Marion managed in the minor leagues for 19 years between 1940-1963, compiling a record of 1352-1224. He managed in the organizations of the Washington Senators (1940, 1956, 1958-1959), Boston Red Sox (1946-1955), and Los Angeles Angels (1962-1963), as well as some independent clubs.

He played briefly in the major leagues, once in 1935 at the age of 21 for the Washington Senators, and again in 1943 at the age of 29 for the Senators.

Brother of Marty Marion and Roy Marion.
