Biographical Information[edit]

Ralph Glaze came out of Dartmouth College in 1906 and debuted in the majors on May 24th of the same year. By the next year he could say he was almost holding his own with Cy Young, the star of the 1907 Boston Americans. Cy had an ERA of 1.99 that year while Glaze had an ERA of 2.32 in 182.3 innings. Cy was 40 years old at the time but still pitching well.

Glaze was the baseball coach at Baylor University from 1910 to 1913 and University of Southern California in 1915.
