Pedro Baelemans

Infielder Pedro Baelemans spent seven seasons in Belgium's First Division. He went 2 for 11 for the 1991 Port of Antwerp Greys, then was 2 for 20 in '92. In 1993, he hit .341/.370/.477. He moved to the Borgerhout Squirrels in 1994 and hit .286/.423/.429. In '95, he batted .300/.370/.495. In the 1995 European Championship, he batted .372/.413/.488 with 12 runs in 10 games; he fielded only .818. He helped Belgium win the Bronze Medal, a rarity for the country. He tied Giel ten Bosch and Jamel Boutagra for 9th in the event in runs, tied for 10th in total bases (21), tied for third with 16 hits (even with Arnaud Fau, Enrico Vecchi and Andrea Evangelisti, trailing Johnny Balentina and Luigi Carrozza).
