Biographical Information[edit]
Paul Murphy has been a minor league infielder and a scout.
Murphy was taken by the Kansas City Royals in the 9th round of the 1986 amateur draft and by the Baltimore Orioles in the 32nd round of the 1987 amateur draft. In his lone pro season, he hit .243/.314/.457 with 8 home runs in 42 games for the Bluefield Orioles, fielding .955 at the hot corner. He tied for 9th in the Appalachian League in home runs. He later scouted for the Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Phillies, signing Carlos Alonso, B.J. Rosenberg, Michael Schwimer and Matt Soren.
