Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Paul Faries played from 1990 to 1993 with the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants. Mostly a second baseman, he also played games at shortstop and third base.
Faries came out of Pepperdine University, where he attended at the same time as Mike Fetters and Andy Stankiewicz. He was signed by the Padres as a 23rd round pick in the 1987 amateur draft and scout Dave Bartosch. He also spent time in five other organizations, playing in AAA ball for several years after his major league days.
While in college he played for the 1986 Alaska Goldpanners, along with Brent Mayne.
