Biographical Information

Outfielder Dave Bartosch had a cup of coffee with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1945. He missed the 1941-1944 seasons due to military service. He also spent six seasons in the minors, mostly before the war. After his playing career ended, Bartosch was a longtime scout with the Cardinals (1969-1979), Chicago Cubs (1980-1982), and San Diego Padres (1982-1992).
