Pablo Juárez was a member of the Nicaraguan national team for over a decade.

Juárez was the All-Star DH in the 1974 Amateur World Series (Nicaragua won the Silver, finishing second to Team USA), then led the 1977 Intercontinental Cup with six doubles. He hit .417 in the 1977 Central American Games to help Nicaragua won Gold; only Julio Cuarezma had a better average for the team.

In the 1978 Central American and Caribbean Games, his Nicaraguan club won the Silver Medal, trailing only Cuba. He hit only .200/.324/.240 as Nicaragua's main DH in the 1978 Amateur World Series. He played for Nicaragua in the 1979 Intercontinental Cup and 1983 Intercontinental Cup. He batted .222 in the 1983 Pan American Games and homered against the US and Panama. In the 1984 Amateur World Series, he was atrocious as the Nicaraguan DH, going 3 for 32 with three walks, though his hits did include a triple and a homer. He played in the 1984 Olympics as well. In the 1986 Central American Games, he helped Nicaragua win Gold; his 8 RBI tied Tomás Guzmán for the team lead and his 8 runs tied Elry Britton and Julio Medina for the lead. Through 2008, he ranked 7th in Nicaraguan amateur history with 1,500 career hits, behind Ariel Delgado, Prospero Baca, Nemesio Porras, Ernesto López, Henry Roa and Medina.
