Players who went here

Oglethorpe University is the alma mater of 9 former MLB players including Hall of Famer Luke Appling. It was a baseball power from 1917, when the University was re-constituted, until 1944, when it was forced by World War II to shut down its baseball program. That period coincided with the stint of Frank Anderson as head coach.
