Oberlin College was one of the first colleges to admit blacks. Both Fleet Walker and Welday Walker, the first two black men to play in the major leagues, went there. Other alumni include Chip Winiarski, Cy Vorhees, Lee Richmond, Clay Fauver and Bill Garfield, all pitchers.
