Eli Rosebraugh (typically spelled Rosebrough during his career) played in the majors in 1898-99. He was two years younger than teammate and fellow hurler Jack Chesbro. He coached Oberlin College for part of 1899. According to a Sporting Life article from June 18, 1898, Rosebraugh threw a no-hitter for the Dayton Old Soldiers. A month later, the Pirates purchased his contract for $700.
