Biographical Information

Nylah Ramírez debuted for the Puerto Rican women's national team in the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup. She had an excellent debut, closing out Noelia De Jesús's win over #2 Taiwan. Taking over with a 9-5 lead and two outs in the 5th, she allowed a Yu-Chuan Tu single but retired Ming-Chen Tsai then went 1-2-3 in the last two innings, striking out five batters (Shih-Yun Lee, Yu-Ying Hsieh, Hsiao-Mei Chen, Chia-Wen Shen and Chi Tseng). She started and threw four shutout innings to beat South Korea's Bo-Mi Kim; Ashley Garcia saved it for her. She went the distance in a loss to Mayumi Solano and Cuba. She had a 2.10 ERA for the event, the best of any qualifier on her team. She finished 10th in the Cup in IP (13 1/3) and 5th in K (10).

In the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup, she pitched one game, losing to Taiwan's Yu-Pei Chen and allowing 8 hits, 4 walks and 9 runs (3 earned) in 3 innings while striking out Yi-Jin Hua twice before Luz Moreira took over.
