Biographical Information[edit]
First baseman Mike Heidemann was taken by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 53rd round of the 1995 amateur draft, but did not sign. He played for the independent Sioux Falls Canaries in 1997, slashing .218/.346/.364 with 3 home runs, 18 RBI and 24 hits in 40 games.
His father is Jack Heidemann. His cousins are Brett Bordes, Greg Bordes and Jim Patterson. His grandfather is Bill Cutler. He is also related to Charles Bordes and Larry Patterson.
